A T-Type Switched-Capacitor Multilevel Inverter With Low Voltage Stress and Self-Balancing

This paper proposes a novel T-type multilevel inverter (MLI) based on the switched-capacitor technique. The proposed not only achieves that maximum voltage stress of switches is less than input but also has boost capability, which makes it suitable in high applications. It worth mentioning features two topology extension schemes help achieve higher output level and gain. With merit low reduced power devices, seven-level can be achieved using capacitors. Moreover, capacitor self-balancing capability simplify complexity circuit control. topology, operating principle, modulation strategy analysis are presented. superiorities investigated by comparing with recently hybrid MLIs MLIs. Finally, prototype constructed to validate correctness theoretical feasibility effectiveness inverter.
